2 T. yeast dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water sprinkle with sugar. Set aside
In a medium bowl add:
5. c flour
1t. baking soda
4 t. baking powder
1/1/4 t. salt
1/4 c. sugar
Mix together and make a well to add wet ingredients:
1/2 c. oil
2 c. buttermilk
Then add yeast mixture
Mix together. Add flour so that it makes a soft ball. Roll out to 3/4 to 1 inch thick and cut into biscuits. Bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes.
