GRANDMA'S CAKE ROLL--IMPROVED RECIPE---ROLLS BETTER
1 1/4 CUP FLOUR
1/3 CUP + 1 1/2 TABLESPOON COCOA
1 1/4 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1/4 TEASPOON SALT
4 EGGS
1 1/4 CUP SUGAR
1/3 CUP WATER + 1 1/2 TABLESPOON WATER
1 1/4 TEASPOON VANILLA
GREASE PAN. LINE COOKIE (BAKING) SHEET PAN WITH WAX PAPER/PARCHMENT PAPER. GREASE PAPER --USE SPRAY PAM. BEAT EGGS. MIX DRY INGREDIENTS. MIX TOGETHER. POUR IN TO PAN. BAKE 375 DEGREES F FOR 12-15 MINUTES. COOL FOR 5 MINUTES. DUMP ON DISHTOWEL THAT HAS BEEN COVERED GENEROUSLY WITH POWERED SUGAR. ROLL CAKE AND TOWEL TOGETHER FROM NARROW EDGE; COOL (PLACE IN FRIDGE). THAW ICE CREAM TILL SOFT BUT NOT RUNNY. UNROLL CAKE AND SPREAD ON ICE CREAM, FROSTING OR FILLING. ROLL, WRAP, & FREEZE. 16-18 SERVINGS. FAVORITE FLAVORS OF ICE CREAM: MINT CHIP, RASPBERRY OREO COOKIE, CHOCOLATE CHIP. SERVE WITH HOT FUDGE.
