Grandma Faye's White Bread

Dissolve
1 T. or 1 pkg yeast in 1/4 c. of warm water. Let set and rise.
In large mixing bowl add 1/4 C. sugar,
4 teas. salt
1 cup powdered milk
1/4 c. oil
4 C. warm water
6 c. flour
Mix together and then add yeast. Add up to 5 Cups of flour, one at a time. Beat after each cup. On 10th cup, beat for 10 minutes. Dough should pull away from sides. May need to add a 1/4 cup if it doesn't and beat for 5 minutes. Cover and let rise until double about 1 hour. Put in loaves (4) Let rise 45 minutes. Bake 400 15 minutes and then 325 for 30 minutes. Dump out and lightly butter top of crust.
